Storage Basket - Large Orange Stripe
Introduce some Kenyan charm and texture to your interior with our gorgeous orange striped basket, sporting bold, orange stripes on a creamy white base. Hand woven from local sisal grass by a skilled craftswoman working within a small cooperative in rural Kenya, these striped baskets come in three different sizes for use all over the home. They fabulous storage for jewellery, gloves and slippers, pens and pencils and craft materials - and can be used as both small and large planters for your house plants.
The craftswomen behind these woven baskets learned the age-old art of weaving from their mothers and grandmothers, and they work within a small, rural weaving cooperative.
Each colourful woven basket comes with a thank you card from the weaving cooperative. Basket production takes place primarily during the dry seasons, since most weavers are from farming communities who rely on subsistence farming and rainfall to sustain their families.
